RIVER SHOOTISTS SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS DECEMBER
12, 2011 We provide the following additional information pertaining to the December match, Christmas dinner and membership. First, remember the match this month on Saturday 12-17-11 will be a four stage match with a warm up stage. The cost for the match will only be $10.00 per shooter. After the match, we will have a dinner in the club house. We request that those coming to the match and attending the dinner let us know via E-mail to Man from Little River at gakan123@bellsouth.net or Miz Pitty at mizpitty@bellsouth.net . This will allow us to have sufficient main course meat selections for all attendees. Miz Pitty will also coordinate the side dishes. Those who wish to should bring their favorite side dish or dessert. Second, there has been a question about South River Shootists membership fees for 2012. The 2012 membership is a new membership, as this is a new SASS club with no prior connections to the previous club that used the South River Gun Club ranges. Thus there will be no “renewal membership” until the December 2012-January 2013, renewal period. The individual membership is $20.00 and a family membership is $35.00. Club badges are only $10.00 each. Those with a family membership can purchase a badge for each member listed on the membership form. Beginning with the January 2012, match, monthly match fees will be as follows: Individual shooter who is a SRS member: $15.00 Individual shooter who is not a SRS member: $20.00 SRS member and spouse (family membership), and both shoot: $25.00 Junior shooter: $10.00 Buckaroos and Buckarettes: Free Starting with the January 2012 match, all shooters who shoot a minimum of six matches in the same category will be eligible for end of year club awards in their category, as well as the overall men’s and ladies champion award. Only standard monthly matches, excluding the annual match and the Christmas match, will count for award eligibility. SRS intends to hold a regular match every month, weather permitting. If something prevents a scheduled match from being held, the match will be rescheduled. In May 2012, we will also hold our first annual match. It is our intent to continue to provide quality Cowboy action matches for the enjoyment of all who attend. In addition, any member suggestions for match themes or improvements are welcomed. In the near future SRS will announce upcoming SASS RO1 and RO2 classes to be held at SRGC. It is the intent of SRS to provide all shooters the chance to attend these very important safety classes.
