CHANGE TO MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FORM.

For 2013 and beyond, renewal or new memberships please fill out a complete Membership Application Form for each shooter and family member that will participate under a family membership so that SRS has a complete record for each member. Additionally, fill out a Liability Waiver Form for each member. Once this is done, shooters who are SRS members will only have to fill out the Monthly Match Registration Form to participate in a monthly match at SRS. However, a new Liability Waiver must be submitted if any shooter information changes.

Shooters that shoot with SRS but are not SRS members may also fill out the Liability Waiver at the first match they shoot. If they then shoot additional matches, they need only complete the Monthly Match Registration Form and sign indicating that a Waiver is on file.  This will assist all shooters in speeding up the registration process.  With each new year a new waiver is necessary with new membership or renewal memberships or at first match attended for non-member shooter.

MATCH SCORING AND RULES: All monthly and annual matches conducted by the South River Shootists will be scored by Total Time.   Please see special events application for scoring requirements on that event as some are governed by SASS requirements.  All current SASS Rules will govern the conduct of the South River Shootists matches, and will be enforced. It is recommended that all shooters become familiar with the most current versions of the SASS Rules, which can be located at SASS HANDBOOKS. In addition to the current SASS Rules, SRGC requires all match shooting participants and visitors to wear appropriate eye and hearing protection during actual match shooting. Those visitors who do not have the necessary eye and ear protection will be directed to the Cowboy Administration building where they will be loaned the necessary protective equipment.

SASS Range Officer I and II classes are available at SRS please contact Big John Denny @ jfdenny@bellsouth.net  for times and other information on classes.

2013 Guidelines for SRS End of Year Club Awards:

To be eligible to compete for SRS year end club awards, shooters must be members of SRS.  The membership or renewal must be completed between December 2012 and start of the monthly match in April 2013. Any shooter not renewed by the April 2013 match (this is an extension of time original date which was March), will not be eligible for annual awards.  Shooters must complete at least six matches in the same category to qualify for annual awards for their chosen category. The Southeast Territorial Black Powder Championship does not count towards annual awards. The category award standing will be figured on the scores for the best six matches shot in a single category. If the shooter has shot more than six matches, only the six best match scores will be used.  Effective in 2014 if a shooter is not a member of SRS by February monthly match, they will not be eligible for annual club awards.

Club overall award requirements.

The SRS overall shooter award for men and women will be determined from all SRS members who have shot at least six matches with the club. The overall shooter award is not category specific. If more than six matches are shot, the best six scores, regardless of category, will be used. The Southeast Territorial Black Powder Championship does not count towards the club overall annual awards as it is a SASS regional level event. Effective in 2014 if a shooter is not a member of SRS by February monthly match, they will not be eligible for annual club awards.
